It's with a very heavy heart that we had to make the sad decision to put Brother to sleep this morning. The vet arrived quickly and said his colon was shutting down. His age had caught up to him. Brother was 27 years old.

Brother's career was remarkable to say the least. His list of riders and accomplishments were many.

His riders included:
Kelly Wilson
Courtney Donaldson
Liza Towell
Jenna Kieley Teeson
Matt Brown
Brian Walker
Hardin Towell
Michael Morrissey
Maggie Jayne
Heather Dobbs
Andrew Welles
Blythe Marano
Julie Welles
and
Michael Hughes who was 8yrs old when he started riding him.

Some career highlights included:
2nd in the USEF Medal Finals and winner of Cap Challenge Eq Championship as a 6yr old with Kelly Wilson.

4th in the Maclay Finals and 2nd in Cap Challenge Eq Championship with Liza Towell.

Winner of the New England Medal Finals with Jenna Kieley Teeson.

Eq Ch at Devon with Matt Brown.
~
And last but not least, thank you from the bottom of our hearts to Brian Robinson who has been with Brother throughout his career and into his retirement. Brian took the absolute best care of him, and their bond was unmistakable.

Godspeed dear Brother....
you were incredibly loved and you'll greatly missed. ❤

@catherinetyree...
this week a year ago was possibly one of the toughest and most heartbreaking weeks we ever lived through.
Here we are one year later, and your determination, your strength, your courage, your dedication, your belief in a system and your willingness to persevere has come shining through as a testament to never give up!
Congrats on your awesome start to WEF 2017 and being presented with the Leading Lady Rider Award for week 1!
All of us at North Run are incredibly proud of you!

Congrats to Cat Tyree on a great week 1 at WEF. With Bokai she finished 3rd in today's 75,000 Rosenbaum Mollengarden GP and was Leading Lady Rider as well.
Well done Cat!
Special thanks to our entire team for all your help and hard work. And thank you to Cathal Bennett for taking such wonderful care of Bokai!
